Privacy Policy

This policy describes what Tech VPN (“we”) actually collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We have tried to write it the way the product works - plainly and specifically.

What we collect

• An anonymous device identifier - created on your device the first time you open the app. It is a random identifier, not derived from your name, phone number or hardware serial. It is what lets the app work with no account at all.
• Optional account details - if you choose to create an email account or use Google sign-in: your email address and display name.
• Session records - when each VPN session started and ended, which region you connected to, and the total bytes transferred. These exist because the free tier bills by the minutes you actually use, and because per-server byte totals drive capacity planning.
• Reward and ad-completion events - when a rewarded or interstitial ad completes and which ad network showed it, so we can grant your minutes or VIP days exactly once and prevent abuse.
• Referral linkage - if you apply a referral code, we record which code you used so that both sides receive their reward.

What we do not collect: we do not record the websites you visit or the contents of your traffic. The tunnel between your device and the exit server is encrypted with WireGuard (ChaCha20-Poly1305). We do not sell personal data.

Why we collect it

• Minutes billing - the free tier charges only for the minutes you actually use, which requires an accurate record of when each session started and ended.
• Capacity planning and live health - per-server bandwidth totals tell us when a region needs more capacity and power the live load figures shown in the app and on this site.
• Reward integrity - ad-completion events let us grant minutes and VIP days exactly once, and detect duplicate or fraudulent claims.
• Account features - an optional email or Google account lets you sign in on a new device and recover access.

Ads

The free experience is funded by ads. Ads are served by third-party ad SDKs - currently Unity Ads - which collect and process device information under their own policies. See Unity’s privacy policy. VIP tiers reduce or remove interstitial ads: VIP-1 shows them only on every 2nd app open, and VIP-2 shows none.

Retention

Session records, bandwidth accounting and reward events are kept for as long as they are needed for minutes billing, reward integrity and capacity planning. Data is stored on cloud infrastructure. When your account and its data are deleted at your request (see below), the associated records are removed.

Your choices

• Use the service without an account. The app works fully with only the anonymous device identifier - email and Google sign-in are optional.
• Decide what you link. Applying a referral code, signing in and watching rewarded ads are all optional actions you take deliberately.
• Delete your account and data. Contact support at any time and we will delete your account and the data associated with it.
